Our Story
Our story here at Baobab began with a simple but powerful conviction:
We have a heart to see lasting, life-giving change in the world.
We saw the need. | We felt the call. | And we couldn’t look away.
What began as a desire to help quickly became a mission to empower—to train, equip, and support those that are already out doing the work. We strongly believe that we are not here to be a feeding program or hand out but rather a hand up as individuals, families and communities are uplifted through hearts that long to see a change for the better. From the informal settlements of South Africa to the broken spaces of daily life, we’ve witnessed what happens when hope is planted and purpose is restored.
Through medical outreach, feeding programs, education, home repairs, youth mentorship, and spiritual care, Baobab is growing something beautiful—not just programs, but people. Not just change, but transformation.
